This elopement was out of a fairytale – their pre-ceremony prayer around an ancient sequoia, their first kiss in a meadow at sunrise, and their first dance under the huge rocks of Yosemite National Park. Lily + Joshua’s intimate wedding was an unspeakable privilege to capture!
Lily rang us a few weeks before their wedding, casually bringing everything together in the last hour like some kind of superhero. It was remarkable to see the freedom they had on their wedding day – they had only their closest loved ones with them, took time for prayer and communion (most beautiful communion ever!), and left all morning open to roam the park with us finding the best spots.
It was an overcast day so instead of golden sun rays we got incredibly diffused light with moody tones and gorgeous greys (our favorite). Lily wore a custom long sleeved lace gown and made her flowers herself! She also jumped wooden fences (albeit with help) and got her feet dirty. This is our kind of bride!
If you want to elope in Yosemite, or have your photos there for fun or engagements, we would LOVE to be part of it! Shoot us some details and we can get everything ready to go to give you your dream Yosemite photos!
