TOOL 1 - AUTO WHITE BALANCE
Each of our 10 presets have Auto White Balance built into them. This was a risk, as sometimes Lightroom adjusts the white balance too dramatically and look terrible. However, there are MANY times we like checking how AWB looks, particularly if we make our edit then aren’t 100% in love with the colors – we quickly click Tool 1 to see what AWB looks like again.
Here is a RAW file – before is out of camera, after is applying AWB in Lightroom. A world of difference!
TOOL 2 - LENS CORRECTIONS OFF
Lens Corrections basically fixes distortions in images, based on the lens that you use. It can make a massive difference in your image to turn them off – it flattens the image and removes vignetting.
5 of our color presets have Lens Corrections ON, and there are 2 that have Lens Corrections OFF – Winter and Indoors.
Below is an image edited with Spring with no tweaks. It feels too flat, and lacks the mood the log farm had. A simple click of Tool 3 brings back the mood and depth!
TOOL 3 - LENS CORRECTIONS ON
The same is true for if you want the Lens Corrections back ON! Especially if you prefer cleaner, flatter look in your images.
Below is an image edited with Golden Hour – Before is Golden Hour without tweaks, After is when Lens Corrections is added (on).
TOOL 4 - TONE CURVE BRIGHT
More than just a variation of Toolkit 4, this tool completely transforms the image, helping clean up and brighten everything.
TOOL 5 - TONE CURVE MOODY
One of Camron’s favorites, this adds mood by lifting the shadows and manipulating the highlights in the tone curve.
TOOL 6 - TONE CURVE CREAMY
A new addition in the 2020 update of Seasons Preset Bundle, this tone curve is the most unique. The images below are quite dramatic, because this tone curve mostly affects the highlights and lights – crushing them and adding a blue-ish hue.
TOOL 7 - SKIN TONE COOLER
A simple but effective tool to cool down skin tones in the overall image. It is very subtle but enough to help with orange faces and hard light! This genius little tool is our secret, but it has to do with Camera Calibration 😉
TOOL 8 - SKIN TONE WARMER
One of our favorite tools – clicking this will add a ton of beautiful warmth to your images (not just a bump in the oranges but the overall feel of your image!). This genius little tool is our secret, but it has to do with Camera Calibration 😉
TOOL 9 - MOOD
Feeling creative? We love this tool for more moody images that call for extra grain, muted tones and earthy colors. We used to individually adjust mood in each image, until we realized we could create a one-click tool that brings ALL THE MOOD to our image. This tool crushes the blacks and shadows, adds grain and vignetting without being overbearing.
TOOL 10 - FLASH
When you add any of our presets to a flash image, it may look a bit strange. That’s because our presets were designed with natural light in mind – we didn’t want to compensate for flash images as that would compromise the beauty of our presets. Instead, we have a simple tool to click if you need to boost the exposure and highlights in an image, while adding beautiful vignetting.
We love having a quick adjustment for flash photos, especially because we shoot the entire dance floor with a flash! The Before image is edited straight with Original, and you can see her skin is WAY underexposed and looks off and muddy. With one click, Tool 10 brought back that creamy skin we love! A very easy tool to paste in batch onto the entire dance floor, for example.
