Waking up at 4am to drive through blackest night may be rough, but watching the sun rise at half dome in Yosemite National Park has to be one of the most beautiful experiences in the world.
Kyle, Amy and us jumped in the car with a thermos full of coffee and a playlist of Bon Iver, Novo Amor and RYX and set out for Yosemite. Camron had never been, and as first light began to hit we parked the car and walked up to Glacier Point, where he saw Yosemite for the first time (literally in all it’s grandeur!).
We photographed Amy + Kyle’s engagement in Yosemite, and while they couldn’t get married in Yosemite they wanted to come back for their one year anniversary to finally have the dream elopement photos they always wanted. Amy told us that day she was 3 months pregnant!
Her dress still fit (ignoring that one top button!) and it was so special to shoot them at the start of their lives as a family of three. We’re obsessed with baby Judah, who as we’re writing this is he is 9 months old.
Their intimacy has always astounded me, and one year into marriage it was more beautiful than ever. If you’re married and want to capture this season of your lives, let us know, because we think anniversary shoots (wedding clothes or not!) are so unbelievably special!
